Baked Chilli Camembert Dip Recipe
Chilli Jam of your choice
Bread (for dunking!)
This is a fantastic sharing starter for 2 to 4 people. Its absolute simplicity makes it a foolproof delicacy guaranteed to get your dinner guests purring.
Pre heat your oven to 220’C. Unwrap your Camembert cheese, place it in its bowl and put into the oven for 1 ½ minutes to soften it. Take it out and carefully cut a 2 inch cross in the top of it. Be careful if the bowl or the edge of the cheese are hot! Open back the 4 flaps with a teaspoon and put about 2 teaspoons of Chilli Jam in the centre of the Camembert (we used Garlic Chilli Jam). Close the cheese and put the bowl back in the oven on a baking tray along with 2 or 3 part baked baguettes, obviously following any special directions on their packaging. The Camembert should be fully melted and the bread ready in about 10 minutes. Place the Camembert and bread on a platter and serve, then tear the bread and tuck in – it’s delicious!
